I will be keeping a blog which I have already started documenting the preparation for the trip and will include my visits to Casa Alianza's projects that work with over 12,000 street children.
Why am I doing this?
I wanted to prove to myself that I could do something that was totally outside my comfort zone. And if I could learn to ride a motorbike and travel the length of the Americas that anyone could do anything they set their mind too.
Why Casa Alianza?
Originally I wanted to raise money for Chance UK a children’s charity that I mentored for in 2005. I had quite a few people mention they would like to donate but not for a London children’s charity so I heard about the work Casa Alianza was doing I decided to include them. After my trip was delayed for 1 year and 10 months I contacted Chance UK and they said they were already working with someone was going to walk the Arctic and the Sahara Desert. Who would have thought I would be out adventured!

And No - I have not read Ewan McGregor's Long Way Round but plan to before I go.
And Yes - I know that it will be dangerous and I will have to do heaps of preparation. In fact the whole thing petrifies me at the moment.
